G. C. Industries' Patented G-CAL Permeation Device offers a proven and repeatable means of generating a desired gas or vapor in nanograms/minute (ng/min) range. This gas is then mixed with a carrier gas (O2 and Nitrogen are the most common) at a controlled flow rate to obtain a known mixture in ppm or ppb.

Applications of the G-CAL Devices may include calibration of gas monitoring systems and chromatographs, accuracy check of gas detectors, and generation of known compounds into a custom application.


Lowest Temperature Sensitivity:
G-CAL units' polymer permeation rate changes range from 1% to 3% per degree C. Teflon rates can change up to 15% per degree C.

Wide Operating Range & Materials:
A G-CAL device may be used to generate concentrations from less than 10 nanograms/minute to 50,000 ng/min and over. G-CAL devices for over 100 different substances are available. Enhanced User Safety:
Two separate polymer permeation barriers plus leak-proof sintered stainless steel disc construction are tested to withstand pressures of 300% greater than encountered in the field or laboratory.

Individual Certification:
Each G-CAL device is individually calibrated and vertified to generate a given output (ng/min) vs. temperature in degree Celsius. A graph is included with each device which shows permeation rate vs. temperature from 0 to 50șC.

D.O.T. Shipping Exemption:
DOT-E 9969 - Rev. 1, based on the inherently safe design of G-CAL Permeation Devices, permits their shipment quickly by overnight air or economically by small package surface the same way as any non-hazardous materials.
